Rarely seen machine age streamline Hermle mantle clock, circa early 1950s. Black lacquered wood base, with blond lacquered clock case. Brass legs on either side. No chips or stains. Clock works and keeps good time note after winding, open the back and nudge the balance wheel and it starts. The chimes work, with a clunky sound. Clock face is bright and clean. Hinge on the face cover needs adjustment or repair. Minor smudges on the lacquered surfaces. There is a bend in one of the brass legs. Takes a number nine key (not included). Outstanding display piece, or for everyday use. Over 18 inches across, 7 ½ inches high, 4 ½ inches deep. Weighs about 4 ½ pounds. Great addition to your antique / art deco / time piece clock collection.
